The first specific and most powerful step I will take that will begin the process of bringing jobs back to our community will be to defeat my Democrat opponent.
Eighty years of flawed Democrat economic policies, written by lawyers and people who have never created jobs and some who have never held a job in the private sector, have resulted in crushing taxes and reams of burdensome regulations being heaped upon Rhode Island's job creators. Their misdirected policies have killed our economic engine; cost us tens of thousands of jobs and have all but eliminated any sense of hope from our young people. The Democrat leadership and their followers have consistently created policies that have given us the worst economy in the country. This does not make them bad people, but it does prove they are incapable of creating the economic environment necessary to bring jobs back to Rhode Island.
We desperately need to elect more job creators and fewer lawyers to the General Assembly. While they have proven they can’t turn our economy around to benefit everyone in our state, I have been working hard to remain in business for 37 years. During this time we have trained people to become professionals and skilled technicians. They have helped me to grow my business and I have helped them to build their careers and to better their lives. We are partners in prosperity.
Putting my experience to work as a job creator in the General Assembly will begin the process of bringing opportunity back to all Rhode Islanders. Then we can talk about eliminating the estate tax (this is a middle class issue), incentives for capital investment, relevant education for employees, and lowering property taxes.
