The Pink Party is an annual fashion show fundraiser that benefits the American Cancer Society, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. Our show features drinks, food, music, raffles, silent auctions, and our beautiful models are all cancer survivors! Fashions are from local East Greenwich vendors and our models rock the runway with their hair and make-up done by our host, Sheila Catherine of Highlights Salon. In addition, a local celebrity or two host our event each year. Our event brings together the strength of the community and allows cancer survivors to show us what courage looks like by strutting proudly down the runway! 

 

The Pink Party started in 2013, when Laurie Pichette was celebrating her 10th year in remission from breast cancer. Laurie has been raising money for the American Cancer Society since her diagnoses in 2003. However, for this special milestone, she wanted to do something extra. Therefore, Laurie set a goal to raise $10K asked her good friends, Dorothy White and Sheila Catherine (from Highlights Salon) to join to help achieve this. From there the Pink Party was formed. The first Pink Party was held on October 1, 2013 and Laurie’s goal was surpassed!!! That is the power of pink! The overwhelming response and success of the first Pink Party event has led to make this an annual event.
